A huge thank you to Mike and Lily Pierce for organising such a brilliant weekend away in Norfolk. 17 classic cars and 59 people participated. Also, my thanks to those who came on the Drive-it-Day yesterday to the De Havilland Museum- 11 cars and 17 people. Unfortunately, the bus would not have been able to navigate the narrow winding lane to the Museum which was disappointing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I do hope that we will have a good turnout for Rodger Green\u2019s Talk on the Epping and Ongar Railway Museum tonight (23rd April 2023).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n May is full of events including the Coronation and the Pageant, of course. These means there are no Society meetings during May!<\/p>\n\n\n\n There is the compulsory meeting for all stewards. This is on SUNDAY 21ST MAY<\/strong> at 10.00 for 10.30. There is a repeat of this for those who are unable to attend on Monday 22nd<\/sup> at 8.00pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Our President, Colin Spong will be on air on Wednesday 26th<\/sup>. Do tune in to BBC Radio London at 8.50 when he will be talking about the history of the Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Society meeting on 12th<\/sup> June will be the debrief from the Pageant and a chance to give your views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The meeting on June 26th<\/sup> will have a Trustee from Copped Hall giving us an illustrated talk. This is another place we should visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Trustees have asked me to inform you that after 15 years of service as the Administrator to the Trust, June Bayer will be retiring at the end of July. They are keen to appoint a person who has good knowledge of the Museum and therefore invite expressions of interest from anyone with relevant skills, who would like further information.
