{"id":57,"date":"2023-01-07T17:52:42","date_gmt":"2023-01-07T17:52:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/edvvs.org\/wp_edvvs\/?p=57"},"modified":"2023-01-07T17:53:33","modified_gmt":"2023-01-07T17:53:33","slug":"letter-to-edvvs-members-7th-november-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/edvvs.org\/wp_edvvs\/?p=57","title":{"rendered":"Letter: 7th November 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dear all<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">October seems to have been one of the busiest months at the Museum and I think November will be pretty busy too as we build up to Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are coming to the Museum during this wet period, please be advised that the flooding in Whitewebbs Road is really severe at present.&nbsp;&nbsp;Certainly not the time to be in a classic or low vehicle.&nbsp;&nbsp;It is worse from the Crews Hill entry so please take great care and maybe avoid approaching from that direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you to those of you have already paid your subs renewal.&nbsp;&nbsp;Please keep them coming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some reminders about November:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>14<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;November<\/strong>&nbsp;will be an illustrated talk by Colin Spong<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>14<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;November<\/strong>&nbsp;is the last date for bookings and deposits for the Carvery meal at the Woodman on the&nbsp;<strong>23<sup>rd<\/sup>&nbsp;November at 6.45 for 7.00pm Postal code is AL9 7TT<\/strong>. There are currently 35 going so it should be a good evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>28th November<\/strong>&nbsp;is the&nbsp;<strong>AGM<\/strong>&nbsp;and any proposals\/questions\/committee nominations must reach the Museum by the&nbsp;<strong>17<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;November<\/strong>. Members must check in with the membership secretary and should have membership cards to hand (or on your phone). I hope we will have a good attendance.&nbsp;&nbsp;This is your chance to hear reports about the work of the Trustees and the Museum finances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please sign up for the&nbsp;<strong>Christmas Social on 12<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;December<\/strong>&nbsp;or text me on&nbsp;<strong>07852804465<\/strong>&nbsp;if you would like to come. Partners and volunteers are welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I know that several members are poorly at present and wish them a speedy recovery.&nbsp;&nbsp;Unfortunately, Eleanor is currently in hospital and we hope that she will soon be out.
